Warner Bros. CEO Jeff Bewkes, 64, has shared a substantial amount of new details about the potential release date of Ben Affleck starrer film 'Batman." Speaking at the 25th Annual Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference, Bewkes addressed the status of the upcoming solo film.
"Ben announced a Batman movie he's going to direct, star, write for," Bewkes said in the audio released by Suicide Squadcas. "I think it's a year and a half out, so the strategy worked."
However, it remains indistinct as to whether Bewkes is referring to the film's theatrical release or simply the time at which the solo film will begin its production. Nonetheless, speculations are rife that a late 2018 release date is highly possible considering Warner Bros. already has many DC films lined up for 2017 release.
In-depth details about the 'Batman' film's plot have been kept secret. What is known is that Deathstroke, also known as Slade Joseph Wilson, will serve as the main antagonist in the upcoming "Batman" solo movie. The villainous role will be played by "True Blood" alum Joe Manganiello, The Wall Street Journal reported.
It comes after Affleck posted a quick teaser on his official Twitter account on Aug. 29, showing the Deathstroke in action. The said character is a mercenary and assassin, who debuted as a Teen Titans villain.
