Lee Jong Suk melted several fans' hearts during the actor's "Variety" fan meetings recently held in Japan. The "W - Two Worlds" actor rendered a sweet song number as he serenaded thousands of loyal followers who attended the special events.
Around 8,000 Japanese fans came to see the "W - Two Worlds" star during the actor's two "Variety" fan meetings held in the said Asian country, Korea Herald reported. Lee met local fans in Osaka on Sept 25, Sunday, and avid followers in Tokyo on Sept. 27, Tuesday.
Lee prepared an entertaining event filled with various performances, an interview and other fun activities as a way to bond with his fans from different parts of Asia. He even displayed his romantic side as he serenaded the fan meeting attendees.
A picture posted on the same report showed the actor sharing the stage with a Japanese woman who was seated on a bar stool. The actor appears to be in the midst of a romantic song performance as he gazed intently on the lucky fan while holding her hand.
The special meet and greet events marked the first time that Lee met his fans following the end of the hit MBC drama "W - Two Worlds." In the said drama, the Korean star portrayed the protagonist Kang Chul, a webtoon character who met and fell in love with the webtoon creator's daughter.
Meanwhile, the actor jump started his "Variety" fan meeting tour in Seoul on Sept. 10, Saturday. The "Pinocchio" star is also set to travel to Taiwan and Thailand to meet local fans on Oct. 22 and Oct. 28, respectively.
In other news, the actor's "W - Two Worlds" co-star Kang Ki Young recently shared his thoughts on acting alongside Lee in the MBC series. In an interview with News1, Kang gushed over Lee and how the actor helped to make him feel comfortable on set.
Despite having only filmed two scenes together, Lee treated Kang like a close friend and was not hesitant to hug his co-star as a form of a greeting. Lee's cute and affectionate side on-set was also a behavior that many of the MBC drama's cast and crew members appreciated, according to Kang.
"W - Two Worlds" aired its last episode on Sept. 14, Wednesday, on MBC. Watch a video clip from the drama below:
