Just a few weeks away before "Supernatural" Season 12 hits the small screens, several speculations have been plaguing the show, including the rumors that the upcoming season will be released as a spin-off instead of an installment. Most recently, it has been reported that the synopsis of the series seemed to be in trouble.
The speculations spiraled out of control, with fans speculating that "Supernatural" Season 12 is on the brink of cancellation.
"As long as ratings stay stable, and they want to do the show, and I'm still in the chair, I'm going to be their biggest supporter to continue," CW president Mark Pedowitz told Variety. "I think 'Supernatural' is going to be around in some form long after I move off this chair, and the best thing I can do for the guys, and for the studio, and for the showrunners is basically make sure we don't mess them up."
Speaking of "Supernatural" Season 12 cancellation, series creator Eric Kripke opened up that it took four seasons before he finally realized that "Supernatural" is one of the anchors of The CW's lineup. He even remembered the time that he used to say in the writer's room how close they are from cancellation and so they need to make one good shot before it ends.
Even actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki expressed their willingness to continue as long as they can. They shared they are eyeing to reach episode 300, and they will continue to hit more milestones.
"Supernatural" Season 12 will see Castiel (Misha Collins) returning to full power after Lucifer left him to become his vessel. Collins teased that viewers will see a different side of Castiel because he will be a bit of a jerk, according to Entertainment Weekly.
There will be an impending team up of Castiel and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) to beat up Lucifer, who is now inhabiting the body of Vince Vicente (Rick Springfield). Viewers can expect a battle of the two evils to regain the throne of hell.
