Struggling squad Atalanta BC (2-4-0, 6 points) will take on the challenge of second-running team SSC Napoli (4-0-2, 14 points) at their home field of Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia this Sunday, Oct. 2 as the 2016-2017 Serie A season continues.

Atalanta is at 16th place in the overall standings at the moment after losing four of their first six matches in the season. They are tied on points with Pescara and Sampdoria and are only a point above the bottom three relegation zone.

Two first half goals, one each from Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini and team captain Marek Hamsik at the 24th and 39th minutes respectively, gave Partenopei the lead that they will not relinquish.
The win was the fourth for head coach Maurizio Sarri's boys this term while they drew two other matches.
Napoli is projected to extend their unbeaten run to seven games against Atalanta despite the game being played on the road.
