On Sept. 29, former One Direction member Niall Horan released his first solo single titled "This Town." Aside from explaining what the song really meant, the 23-year old artist revealed that his single has a "double meaning," explaining that only people from small towns would understand what he meant from that.
"This Town" first debuted on Kiss FM on Sept. 29, and also promoted the new track via Twitter by providing a link to the video of its acoustic version, People reported. The report added that the video featured Horan himself singing in front of a girl he cannot get over with while strumming a guitar.
Part of the lyrics to the song features "If the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you. Them butterflies they come alive when I'm next to you, over and over the only truth, everything comes back to you."
In a Twitter post, the 23-year old singer shared his gratitude to people who has been expressing positive feedbacks with "This Town" and shared a link where others can listen to it. According to Horan, he already signed as a solo artist with Capitol Records, hence releasing his first track from his first solo album.

Meanwhile, in a phone interview with Ryan Seacrest, the former One Direction member revealed that aside from what the song seems to mean like, it has another meaning which people living in small towns would only understand. The young singer also admitted his first album is not yet completed and "This Town" is the only track that has been fully furnished.
Horan also hinted his whole album would pretty much sound like the newly released track which is only a bit upbeat. In his interview with Spyder Harrison, Horan says one of the reasons for the track launching is to let people know that he is still up to something these days, and that he did not just disappear from the industry after the announcement of One Direction's hiatus.
On the other hand, former members of the said boyband also have solo careers as of the moment. The group's split up started when Zayn Malik went his separate way and released his own album last 2014.
