At the close of the "Game of Thrones" Season 6, Jon Snow emerged victorious following the brutal "Battle of the Bastards" episode. As a result, he regained not only Winterfell for House Stark but also was crowned King in the North. And there is little doubt that the once illegitimate son of Eddard Stark is now a heartbeat away from the Iron Throne.
It might be destined that Snow will one day conquer and rule Westeros but a new fan theory is suggesting that Jon will ascend to the throne with the help of one strong woman. One obvious candidate would be Daenerys Targaryen, last seen headed to the capital to reclaim what was lost by her father - the Mad King Aerys Targaryen.
As Jon has been established as the love child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, Daenerys is an aunt to the man of the hour but the Targaryens are known to intermarry within the family so the two creating a union is not entirely impossible. And as hinted in the last season, the Khaleesi indeed intends to further strengthen her growing powers through marriage.
The best man for the role at the moment is Jon Snow. But the same man will likely choose a companion he knows better - a woman he grew up with and named Sansa Stark. In a report, Time said Sansa fits the bill, pointing to the latest clip from YouTube channel Alt Shift X as source.
The analysis from Alt Shift X said that the recent Jon-Sansa reunion will lead to the two ending up as a couple. It remains unclear if the siblings/cousins will fall in love or will jump into marriage for strategic reasons but the theory offered by the clip is supposedly backed by patterns that George R.R. Martin has deliberately included in the book "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", which predates the Game of Thrones storyline.
In it, the five champions that were part of the Ashford Tournament were listed in the same order of Sansa's previous relationships - specifically the men and the houses they belonged to. There was a Baratheon, a Tyrell, a Lannister and a Bolton - all corresponding to King Joffrey Baratheon, Loras Tyrell, Tyrion Lannister and Ramsay Bolton. And the last would be a Targaryen, which brings Jon Snow to the picture as Sansa's future lover and husband.
And why not a Targaryen-Stark alliance as it will surely legitimize Snow hold on the North and provide the needed traction for the inevitable march down south? Of note too, Alt Shift X said, is Jon's romantic history of previously falling for a red-hair beauty in Ygritte that loving or taking Sansa for a wife should prove easy. Then taking on Westeros will likely get easier.
