Song Ji-Hyo graced the cover of Cosmopolitan Korea's October issue. In an accompanying interview, the 35-year-old actress opened up about her new JTBC drama "My Wife's Having an Affair this Week."
In the upcoming JTBC drama, the "Running Man" star plays a world-class supermom, Jung Soo-Yeon, who is happily married to a veteran producer Do Hyun-Woo (Lee Sun-Kyun). One day, the latter caught her on the verge of cheating.
Hence, the interviewer asked Song about what would happen if she was the one being cheated on. In response, she said that the act of having an affair is an exonerable misstep.
"A mistake wouldn't make me sever the long-term relationship with the partner," Song told the fashion magazine, as cited by The Kpop Herald. With program director Kim Suk-Yoon at the helm, "My Wife's Having an Affair this Week," also stars Lee Sang-Yeon as Ahn Joon Young, BoA as Kwon Bo-Young, Kim Hee-Won as Choi Yoon-Ki and Ye Ji-Won as Eun A-Ra.
Song made her acting debut in the 2013 hit horror film "Wishing Stairs." She then starred in many popular televisions series such as 2006's "Princess Hours", 2007's "Jumong", 2014's "Emergency couple" and 2015's "Ex-Girlfriend Club."
Song became a household name after joining SBS's "Running Man" in 2010 as the only female cast member. In a previous sit-down interview with Singapore's NUYOU magazine, the actress talked about her "Ace" image on the hit variety show.
"I usually get asked about whether or not I'm the type to try and do everything well," Song told the magazine, as cited by Soompi. "While I'm a woman who enjoys competition, I'm not as competitive as I once was."
The "Sex Is Zero 2" actress added that when she is on the said variety show, she has this mentality of wanting to have fun rather than aiming to win. Through many interactions with the cast, Song revealed she wants to become more acquainted with them on a more profound level than being extremely competitive.
