"Fallout 4" and "Skyrim Special Edition" on the PlayStation 4 will be getting mods finally. The mods will get some limitations on the console unfortunately.
According to the official website of Bethesda, the game developer has recently announced that mod support will be coming to the PS4 for both games. These game titles will also be supporting the new PlayStation 4 Pro.
"Skyrim Special Edition" will be getting these features when it is launched on Oct. 28, which will be available on PS4 and Xbox One. Since it supports the PS4 Pro, the game developers were allowed to make the remastered video game render in native 4k. They remarked that it has looked better than ever.
The game developers said that they have worked hard with Sony to make this possible for everyone. The mods on the PS4 will allow the players to modify and create their own content. They can do this with Bethesda's Creation Kit, which can be downloaded on their website.
However, there is one downside to the mods on the PS4. Modders will not be able to upload the external assets with their PS4 mods. They can use any assets that come with the game instead, which is what mods usually do.
Bethesda Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines tweeted that their company would like to thank Sony for working out the issue on the mods. He also confirmed that the issue was the upload of external assets. With that asset gone from the feature, they have solved the problem quickly.
Big thanks to the folks at @PlayStation who worked with us to get PS4 mod support out for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Doesn't happen without them.

Bethesda has expressed their excitement of finally letting their PlayStation fans mod both games. They clarified that these fans have supported them for so long. They also said that modding has been an important part of their games for over 10 years already and they will do even more in the coming years.
The game developers have revealed that after their work is complete on the remastered video game, they will be making updates on "Fallout 4." They will be adding the mods feature and support for the PS4 Pro.
The game developers are expecting the video game to take advantage of the power of the upcoming console in 4K resolution. They are also expecting that with its new powerful hardware, it can enhance the video game's lighting and graphics features.
According to the official website of the Creation Kit of Bethesda, players must download their launcher first before they can add mods. They must also register their account before they can make mods for "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim Special Edition" on the PS4.
