Angelina Jolie and her six children are seeking therapy after the actress' traumatic divorce from Brad Pitt.
A source close to actress told People that Jolie is trying to stay strong for her children, namely, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.
According to the publication, Jolie and Pitt have been having disagreements over how they should raise their children. More recently, Jolie took her six children on flight to stay in a secluded rental home in Los Angeles to make sure that they would stay away from Pitt. The LAPD is currently investigating the actor on reports that he physically abuses their children.
"She did what she felt she had to do to protect the safety of the kids," the source told the publication.
The source added that Jolie and Pitt's six children didn't leave the rental home for a few days, and they simply spent time indoors while watching television.
"They didn't leave the rental house for days. It was hard for all of them. They are used to more activities and more entertainment so it's difficult for them to stay at the house. The younger kids don't understand what's going on," the source added.
Meanwhile, a rep of Pitt spoke with the same publication during a separate interview to say that he's devastated with how his two-year marriage to Jolie ended up to be.
Pitt "has been absolutely devastated and heartbroken over the events of the past several weeks, both in terms of how those events have been wrongfully portrayed and how they have threatened to jeopardize his family's ability to heal and move forward," the rep said.
After filing for divorce, Jolie stated that she wants sole physical custody of all six of their children. Pitt, on the other hand, is fighting for joint custody.
In other news, both Jolie and Pitt agreed to attend individual counseling to heal their wounds. Jolie and her children will undergo family counseling, and Pitt will subject himself to voluntary drug and alcohol testing, according to IBTimes.
