"Red Dead Redemption 2" release date and title has been highly anticipated by most gamers, including the rumored multiplayer mode of the upcoming 2017 release of the next installment of "Red Dead Redemption."
It's more than six years since Rockstar released "RDR" in the market, and it was greatly welcomed by most gamers, which is why the upcoming installment is being sought by them. There have been so many rumors and speculations surrounding the potential release of "RDR 2," but no one has thoroughly given a substantial evidence to back up their claim.
In the previous year, it was rumored that "RDR 2" is to be released in the first quarter of 2016, but nothing has materialized up to now. However, it seems like things are quite changing when it comes to the release of the said video game.
According to reports, 2017 would be the release date of "RDR 2" in the market, which is to be known as "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends Of The West" and accordingly will be coming out in the fall of the said year, as what FragHero recently divulged.
While other reports confirmed that the said leak was coming from a former Rockstar employee, FragHero, who received the emailed title leak and release date remained silent on the sender's background. According to them, the source wishes to remain anonymous.
Apart from the release date and title, the said tipster also revealed that the upcoming game would contain more than one playable character and a presumably a much larger map. And such information are somehow leading gamers to conclude that the next "RDR 2" will have a multiplayer mode to distinguish itself from previous franchise.
DigitalSpy also mentioned that the upcoming installment of "RDR" will be a prequel to the previous installment. The report also confirmed and supported the rumored much larger open world for "RDR" players, as an alleged map was leaked online.
However, despite the hype of map expansion and the rumoured soon to be added multiplayer mode, some fans commented that such particular mode might kill the franchise. And that game developer should simply follow and continue the successful formula of the game.
Guess we would just have to wait and see the updates of the upcoming release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" fall next year as rumors would suggest. And for now let's just be thankful an upcoming release is certain, despite the uncertainty of it features and release date.
