With KBS 2TV's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" hitting more than 20 percent in viewership ratings, Park Bo-Gum will fulfill his rating promise. The 23-year-old Hallyu star is expected to hold a fan signing in Gwanghwamun, while wearing a Korean traditional clothing called Hanbok.
On Oct. 8, Saturday, a source from the historical drama stated to local newsoutlet Xports News, as cited Soompi, that the five main actors, Park, Kim Yoo-Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-Bin, and Kwak Dong-Yeon, will fulfill the ratings promise. The source added that they are still working out the final date and exact location for the fan signing event.
"The 19th is not the finalized date," the source stressed. "Park Bo Gum may have made the ratings promise, but we are trying to have all five main actors attend as a way of returning the huge amount of love fans have shown us."
It can be recalled that the "Reply 1988" star had previously promised to hold a fan sign event in Gwanghwamun, while wearing Hanbok once the drama hit the ratings milestone. The eight episode of "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," which aired on Aug. 13, recorded 20.6 percent in Seoul National Capital Area, ruling over the SBS historical drama "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo."
However, it seems that fans will have to wait a little longer until the fan signing event happens. One of the staff claimed that the entire cast and crew of "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" will film the final episode until early morning on Oct. 18.
Meanwhile, KBS has decided to air a special episode after the finale of "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" to show gratefulness for the immense measure of love and support the historical drama has received, Naver TV reported. It is said that KBS 2TV will air the making-of clips of the hit historical drama on Oct. 18 at 11:10 PM (KST).
The uplifting news came two weeks after it was found out that "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" will not be extended and will just air 18-episode as originally planned. It was reported that the broadcasting giant discussed the possibility of extending the historical drama but decided not to.
