In September, Lionsgate co-chairman Peter Wachsberger confirmed production of a new "Twilight" film is possible. It raised speculations that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will be reuniting in a sequel titled "The Twilight Saga 6."

The issue became a concern after Wachsberger was asked on the possibility of creating a new lineup of films related to the hit movie franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's novels. Stewart also expressed her opinion about the possibility when asked during her interview with Uproxx.

"To be honest with you, I would be interested," Stewart told the publication. "I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other."

The "Snow White and the Huntsman" star admitted her career started with the film series and had a great experience doing the vampire-themed movie. She said if other people wanted her to keep doing it, she would be willing to do so.

Meanwhile, Wachsberger recalled during his interview with Screen Daily that "Twilight" was a game-changer for everyone who was involved. He admitted Pattinson came later as a cast member who was referred by an executive. When asked whether a Pattinson-Stewart pairing is still possible, the chairman simply responded that it is up to the novel's author.

"It's a possibility, not a certainty, but it's a possibility," Wachsberger said. "It's about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we're here for her."

Aside from Stewart and Pattinson, the movie also top-billed hunk actor Taylor Lautner. Summit Entertainment started the film series in 2007 and it acquired a $35.7 million gross during its opening day.

The sequel to the saga primer, "New Moon," was released in 2009 followed by the third installment "Eclipse" in 2010. The franchise ended with a two-part installment "Breaking Dawn" which released its first and second parts in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
