Fox has premiered its new show on March 1. It is a post-apocalyptic comedy television series created by Will Forte, who is also playing the role of the last man left alive in the show.
The show is ground breakingly fresh as its comic side makes it stand out in the flooded prime time. Here is the review of the first episode of the show. Spoilers for the show will follow soon. Watch this space.
As the show begins, it is shown that after a deadly virus attack, everbody is dead. But Forte's character, Phil Miller, has somehow survived. Miller crisscrosses the U.S. in a RV to check if anyone else is alive or not after the catastrophic virus attack, but finds no one, Tv.com reported.
After posting "Alive In Tucson" message at as many places as possible, Miller comes back before settling with a sense of resignation in his hometown of Tucson. With no one around, Miller becomes a messy drunk, who misses having other people around. As he was about to kill himself, he spots Carol, who has followed the signs posted by him.
Carol shifts next door and thus starts a series of typical rom-com-style conflicts. Carol is still sticking to old rules of the society and still hopes to repopulate the same once again.
The show has received a thumbs-up from many critics. However, The Guardian has questioned its longevity. "Never has the question of longevity plagued a show more than this one," quoted Brian Moylan of The Guardian.
