After dropping their season-opener against Liverpool, 3-4, Arsenal went on a six-game unbeaten run which included their ongoing five-game winning streak. The Gunners had a goalless draw with defending champions Leicester City in their second game before beating Watford, Southampton, Hull City, Chelsea, and Burnley in succession.

The team will face another lowly squad in Swansea City and is expected to pull off a sixth straight win.

Head coach Arsene Wenger's team is coming off a 1-0 nipping of newly-promoted club Burnley at the Turf Moor on Oct. 2 before the league went into an international break, Goal reported.

Laurent Koscielny was the lone scorer for the Gunners as the French center-back netted a controversial goal in stoppage time to snatch the share-of-point away from the Clarets.

Koscielny's initial shot hit the crossbar, but he still managed to put it in during the rebound play. The ball said to have touched his arm before crossing the goal line, but referee Craig Pawson allowed the goal and awarded the victory to Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Swansea City suffered its third consecutive loss in the previous round after dropping a sorry 1-2 game to Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium on Oct. 1, as per SkySports.

The Swans opened the scoring right in the eighth minute with a goal from Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer off a header assist from Spanish teammate Borja Baston.

Liverpool managed to level the count nine minutes after the restart with a medium range shot from striker Roberto Firmino after a blocked free kick by Philippe Coutinho.

It looked like a drawn match for both sides as time slowly ran out, but Reds vice-captain James Milner converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute following a foul by Swansea defender Angel Range on Firmino inside the box.
