"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 3 will feature the highly anticipated appearance of the iconic actress, Carter. Known for her portrayal of the DC superheroine Wonder Woman, the former beauty queen will play the role of a President in need of Supergirl's (Melissa Benoist) help in the episode titled "Welcome to Earth."
The said episode, to be released on Oct. 24, will have Supergirl a.k.a Kara and some of DEO's top agents act as temporary bodyguards for the U.S. President. Kara and the said agency will also be tasked to apprehend the mastermind behind an attack made on the President's life, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoiler TV.
The investigation will lead Superman's cousin to the villainous Mon-El (Chris Wood). A hunt for the recently escaped alien will then ensue, while Alex (Chyler Leigh) partners with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to solve the case.
Meanwhile, photo stills posted on the same news site showed some interesting pictures that hint of a tense encounter between Alex and the detective. The rest of the images unveiled the U.S. President's visit to the new DEO headquarters with Supergirl, Alex and Hank (David Harewood) in tow.
"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 3 will also feature the end of Superman's (Tyler Hoechlin) visit to National City. The Man of Steel joined forces with Supergirl in the first two episodes of the CW series' new season.
In other news, Kara's love interest James (Mehcad Brooks) will soon undergo a hero transformation as he takes on a vigilante role. Named as the Guardian, James will partner with Winn (Jeremy Jordan) who will serve as his trusty tech guide and sidekick.
In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Andrew Kreisberg revealed that James' alter ego will impact his relationship with Kara. James' decision to keep his vigilante activities a secret from Kara will be the cause of a "massive" rift between the two characters, according to the executive producer.
