The Miyagi Prefecture boy's volleyball finals between Karasuno High and Shiratorizawa Academy has begun, and it didn't take much time for the 'Eagle' to show why he's a force to be reckoned with in the match.

The day of the final has finally arrived. For the first time since the Small Giant era, Karasuno is back in the Miyagi Prefecture finals gunning for that elusive ticket to the National Championship. However, standing on their way are the perennial champions, Shiratorizawa Academy and they are led by one of the best ace spikers in Japan - the prodigious Wakatoshi Ushijima.
While Shiratorizawa boasts a gauntlet of talents on its roster, it's clear from the start that their offense revolves around Ushijima. After just few touches, the Eagle made his presence felt right away by hammering a lefty spike into Yū Nishinoya's arms and out for the first score of the match.
Notes and Potential Spoilers for Season 3, Episode 2:
-Season 3, episode 2 will likely cover chapter 151 to 155 of the original manga series. The episode is also dedicated for the voice actor of Keishin Ukai of Kazunari Tanaka, who died last Oct. 10 due to brain stem hemorrhage.
-Ushijima is going to be a big problem for Karasuno defense. Everybody knows by now that Shiratorizawa's ace is top-notch, but his ability to approach the net and hit the ball hard with his left hand makes the task of defending him a lot harder than expected.
-Ushijima vs. Nishinoya tussle. In an attempt to negate Ushijima's crosscourt spike, Karasuno blockers will load to the left side, forcing Shiratorizawa's ace to challenge the libero along the sideline instead.
After tasting the power of Ushijima's spike, Nishinoya bragged that he only needs three receptions to get a hold of the spiker's power, so it would be interesting if Karasuno's libero can back it up.
-Karasuno's counter-attack: As the match continues to progress, Karasuno is slowly getting acclimatized to Shiratorizawa's firepower. The Eagle may have scored 11 of Shiratorizawa's 25 points in the first set, but coach Ukai believes Karasuno can capitalize on his decreasing stamina as the match goes deeper.
