Genoa then scored the lone goal of the match in the 77th minute with a close-range shot by Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone with the pass coming from Uruguayan midfielder Diego Laxalt.
From there, two more red cards were given, one for each side, as defender Santiago Gentiletti and midfielder Blerim Dzemaili were sent off at the 85th and 87th minutes respectively.
