Sony's 'X' series is slowly gaining much confidence on its handsets as it dropped its new flagship Xperia XZ, bragging Sony's best camera technology together with other striking features. As an early start, the company initially launched the unit in Taiwan, following releases in the future.
According to iTechPost, the new Xperia XZ is made up of new metallic material known as "Alkaeido" that produces an impressive natural brightness and purity to the device's display. It also houses a 5.2" display sheathed in a metal body, which is remarkably curvier than with earlier Xperia smartphones.
In addition, Xperia XZ has a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD Display) pixel screen, which translates to refined images with wide viewing angles, high contrast and succinct colors that is comparable even to Quad HD screen displays. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Without the reinforced corners that is popular in Z5, the device even protected from accidental drops. The device also made a comeback to its water-resistant design, which is missing in the Xperia X and the Xperia X Performance.
Aside from that, additional features give it a superior standing in terms of display, as the device gets Sony's X-Reality engine that artificially tinkers with movies and photos when activated. And users can also toggle on the Super Vivid mode, which enhances colors to make them really pop off the screen.
With regards to its internal chassis, the Xperia XZ runs on the Snapdragon 820 processor, mixed with 3GB of RAM, a built-in storage of 64 GB, and an Adreno 530 GPU chipset, GameNGuide reported. The phone will also run in an Android OS, particularly Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Alongside with the 64-bit processor and 3GB of RAM, users can find a base storage of 32GB that can be expanded up to 256GB via the included MicroSD card slot.
Sony Xperia XZ highlights its camera technology as its rear camera boasts a 23MP with triple image sensing technology. These sensing technology includes three sensors, an imaging sensor for movement, a laser autofocus sensor for measuring distance, and an RGBC-IR sensor for accurate color reproduction. Its front camera also astonishes with its improved wide-angle lens for more extraordinary selfies.
In the United States, Amazon's showing Xperia XZ's official price as $699.99.
