Apple has finally announced that they are unveiling their new MacBook Pro 2016 in an event as the press have been sent invites.
The MacBook Pro 2016 line has been anticipated by fans across the world especially as the year is close to an end. Apple has sent out press invites for the unveiling of the new MacBook Pro 2016 in an event for October 27 at their Apple Campus in Cupertino.
Even the MacBook 2016 and the new MacBook Air could be announced as well but no further details have been given by the Cupertino-based tech giant. The new MacBook Pro 2016 could be rolled out to the United States and EU territories by the end of 2016, Forbes has learned.
Some rumored specs about the new laptop from Apple is that it could be powered by a new Kaby Lake processor from Intel. It was not confirmed and that rumor seems to be unlikely considering that the device will be announced soon.
The new MacBook 2016 could have a thinner and lighter design plus the secondary OLED touchscreen on top of the keyboard, CNET reported. Apple's rumored second screen could hold app shortcuts depending on the currently running programs on the computer.
Almost all of the previous MacBooks have really no innovative surprise as they just include new hardware upgrades every year. Some do have thinner designs but that is already expected of the new models.
The invite asked press and media to join Tim Cook and the team to see the new MacBook Pro 2016. No hints at the specs were given but some speculate that it would also lack the 3.5mm stereo jack similar to the iPhone 7 models.
MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be launched in two form factors. One is the 13-inch model and the other is the higher-end 15-inch variant which could also carry more powerful hardware under the hood.
Fans will have to wait for the official MacBook Pro 2016 unveiling in October 27. The release date, specs and features are also expected to be revealed on the said event in a few days.
