Fans across the globe have finally seen the Nintendo Switch, formerly known as Nintendo NX, as the company unveiled the device through an interesting trailer.
Several months of rumors and speculation have pretty much revealed what the Nintendo Switch is even before it was officially unveiled. Some of the said rumors were right as the console turns out to be both a home and a portable device.
The new Nintendo Switch trailer showed that the device can be used both inside the home and outside as a portable gaming device. All users have to do is to "switch" out the side controllers to the second screen in order to take it outside.
Nintendo Switch will also allow for two players with the seemingly symmetrical controllers that can be detached from the device itself, Vox has learned. Unfortunately, no exact release date and price have been revealed.
Nintendo Switch Specs Bases on Nintendo NX Rumors
The previous rumors claim that the Nintendo Switch will actually be an inferior device in the sense that it will have a less powerful chip. In fact, the leaked info weeks ago claimed that it would only be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra chip.
It could mean that there would be no hard-hitting AAA games to come to the Nintendo Switch. In fact, Ubisoft's first game for the console is "Just Dance 2017" and not something huge such as the new "Watchdogs 2."
Nevertheless, the device seems to be backed up by large names in the video game industry. Activision and Electronic Arts are just some of the many companies that will support the Nintendo Switch, according to a press release.
Nintendo said: " Developers can design their games supporting a variety of play styles, which gives gamers the freedom to choose an experience that best suits them."
Other names include 505 Games, Autodesk, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Capcom, Epic Games, Havok, Konami, SEGA games, SQUARE ENIX, Take-Two, Telltale, Unity and more. There are no games announced from them yet but they are expected to be revealed March 2017 when the Nintendo Switch is slated to roll out internationally.
