"Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" is expected to provide players with a creepy and challenging gaming experience. Earlier versions of Capcom's classic horror video game introduced scary monsters, zombie-like creatures and other menacing villains.

With its upcoming seventh installment, game developers have introduced several new and familiar features as revealed in latest "Resident Evil 7" demo clips. Released by Capcom through the game's YouTube account, the teaser video titled "Shotgun in the Box" showed how gamers will need to gather several ammunition items to assemble a weapon.

Game play items such as green herbs that can restore health points will still be included in the upcoming sequel. However, players will need to adjust to the game's new first person gaming perspective, one of the changes that developers made.

Meanwhile, with the release of the new Playstation VR or PSVR, Capcom has taken advantage of the said device's functionality to introduce a new gaming experience. Game director Koshi Nakanishi commented in an interview with the Capcom fan community Capcom-unity.com that the said gaming mode may be too scary for some players.

Described as a perfect gaming peripheral for horror video games, the PSVR "Resident Evil 7" mode may overwhelm some gamers with its suspenseful storyline and scary characters. Nakanishi even stated that players will need to do a self-assessment to check if they are ready to play the game using the PSVR. He joked, "You take responsibility if you choose to play in PSVR Mode."

In other news, game producer Masochika Kawata confirmed that "Resident Evil 7" will feature different combat scenarios aside from one-on-one fight scenes. In an interview with Yugatech, Kawata shared that gamers will encounter combat challenges that involve multiple enemies. However, it will not include scenarios where a player will fight 20 to 30 opponents in one scene, according to the game producer.

"Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" has been slated for release on Jan. 24, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Watch the game's "Shotgun in the Box" trailer below:
