Fans are finally getting a glimpse into the chemistry between Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun in "The Legend of the Blue Sea." Recently, SBS dropped the second teaser trailer for the new Wednesdays and Thursdays drama.
On Oct. 25, Tuesday, the official website of SBS posted a 62-second long teaser that offers a lens into the lead stars' on-screen chemistry. It starts with a beautiful view of the blue ocean where the last mermaid on Earth, Shim Chung (Jun), watches over Heo Joon-Jae (Lee), saying, "You won't remember me anymore but you're pretty."
The video proceeds with several scene cuts of Shim Chung's hilarious behavior. The scene then shifts to Shim Chung attempting to go head-to-head against Heo Joon-Jae from the closet.
"You hit a person when they're not looking?" says Lee after he got kicked in the chest. "How dare you look at me with those round eyes! I'm not the type to go easy on you just cause you're a girl."
The second teaser came after SBS released three new still images of Lee's character in the upcoming drama. In the still images, the genius and cold-blooded swindler, Heo Joon-Jae, transformed into a hard-working attorney.
"The released teaser is just the start as we plan to simultaneously show how Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun have perfectly absorbed into their characters," a member of the production staff told local newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by Soompi. "They will be transformed in a way that is new, fresh, and unlike anything you've seen before."
"The Legend of the Blue Sea" has been getting attention for both its A-list cast and the director Jin Hyeok's previous dramas, which include 2011's "City Hunter" and 2013's "Master's Sun." It also marks Jun and Lee's small-screen comeback since 2013-2014's "My Love From The Star" and 2013's "The Heirs."
"The Heirs" star Kim Sung-Ryung and f(x)'s Krystal Jung have also confirmed their special cameo appearance in the SBS show. Not much is known about their role other than the fact that the two will most likely show up in the show's early episode.
"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is expected to hit airwaves on Nov. 16. Check out the second trailer here:
