Dortmund was held to a 3-3 draw by bottom three team FC Ingolstadt 04 last Saturday on the road at the Audi Sportpark, as per BBC Sport.
The hosts attacked early and scored the opening goal in the sixth minute, courtesy of Israeli midfielder Almog Cohen. Ingolstadt doubled their lead in the 24th with a header from Paraguayan forward Dario Lezcano off an assist by teammate Markus Suttner following a set piece situation.
Die Borussen trimmed the gap to 1-2 in the 59th minute as Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed a goal from very close range from an Ousmane Dembélé cross.
However, Die Schanzer made it a two-point game again as Lezcano netted his second goal of the match within seconds of Aubameyang's strike.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel's boys did not give up, though, as they forced the draw with one goal apiece from Colombian forward Adrian Ramos and American midfielder Christian Pulisic in the 69th minute and in injury time.
Dortmund's two late goals allowed them to salvage a draw, the team's second consecutive, and a share of a point in the overall standings.
Meanwhile, Schalke climbed out of the bottom three relegation area with an impressive 3-0 win over Mainz at their home field of Veltins Arena last Sunday, Vavel reported.
Algerian midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, contributed a brace as he scored in the 23rd and 61st minutes. German midfielder Max Meyer then completed the team's three-goal haul in the 48th, sealing Schalke's third straight unbeaten performance.
It was the second clean sheet in the last three games for Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann.
