DJ Khaled who loves bling, has been sued by a New-York based jeweler over unpaid bills amounting to over $100,000. Apparently, the founder of We the Best Music Group loves to get his jewelry custom made according to his designs and specifications but doesn't like paying for it.
According to TMZ, Khaled got a specially designed diamond chain made for him, along with two Rolex watches amongst other items from the New York based Rafaello & Company. He also got a diamond ring with a 4-carat diamond in it and a pair of diamond ear-rings three years ago from Rafaello & Company but till date hasn't paid a cent towards these items till now.
The company personnel said that they had an agreement with the singer in which they would send him the jewelry and allow him a fortnight to check it out. And in case he liked it, then he would keep the custom-made pieces and paid for them; otherwise, he was welcome to send them back to the jeweler without any liability, as per reports by ContactMusic.
However, the hip hop star did not honor the contract at all and just kept all the bling pieces, worth over $100,000 without paying anything towards the massive bill. Despite several attempts to reach out to him, the star didn't respond to anybody from Rafaello & Company and in the end the jeweler had no option but to sue the star.
The New Orleans born star wears many hats - a Disc jockey, record producer and a radio personality as well.
