Chinese firefighters freed on Sunday a four-year-old girl whose foot got stuck in a hotel’s revolving door in Fuyang City, Anhui Province. She was playing in the revolving door when she fell on the floor and her foot was stuck underneath the automatic door, according to the child’s grandmother.
Automatic revolving doors just got added to the list of entrance, exit and passageways in buildings where people, especially young children, get trapped in freak accidents which could be fatal or cause grave injury.
To free the frightened girl, firefighters lifted the revolving door. Letting her foot loose was not a very difficult task for the rescuers who had freed more delicate body parts from being trapped in other tight objects such as a penis inside a ring and testicles between two powerful magnets, Shanghaiist reported.
The rescue of the man’s testicles occurred on Oct. 7 in Zhongshan City when 10 firefighters responded to the cry for help of a 45-year-old man who was practicing magnetic therapy. The brought the man in extreme pain but the firefighters and medic had difficult what method to use because of the danger involved.
When they realized the magnets were not solid, the firefighters broke it up using the hydraulic cutter into smaller pieces to lose its powerful pull. The man’s scrotum did not suffer any permanent damage because of the accident.
