If reports are anything to go by, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update late.
The electronics giant Samsung began seeding Android M months after competitors did, thereby upsetting its fans. According to many reports, Samsung is planning to be prompt in bringing the latest Android 7.0 N update to the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 and other devices.
The Galaxy S7 was spotted on the GFXBench online database with Android Nougat. Reports also suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S7 were undergoing the operating system testing in Poland, sparking off rumors that the newest update may come to Samsung's flagship device pretty soon.
However, if latest reports are anything to go by, the software company is still testing Android 7.0 N on its devices and it may take some months before it is ready for rollout.
Speculations are doing the rounds that Samsung may begin seeding the latest firmware to its devices by the end of 2016 or early next year.
So far, the Nexus Player, Android One, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6 and Pixel C have got the firmware update.
The South Korean company has not announced the list of handsets eligible for the latest operating system, but it is nearly certain that the devices such as the Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 Ironman edition, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S7 Active, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Olympic edition, Galaxy S7 Batman edition and Galaxy Note 5 will get the update.
In addition, there are possibilities of the company seeding Android N update to Galaxy C, Galaxy J, Galaxy A and Galaxy On series; however, at present, nothing is certain.
According to Forbes, the latest OS from Google boasts of features such as Google Assistant, bundled notifications, data saver, improved Java 8 language support, VR interface, multi-window, extra power efficiency, direct reply notifications, seamless updates, instant Apps and improved file browser.
Meanwhile, according to a GSMArena report, owners of OnePlus 3 will receive Android 7.0 N update on their devices as a Christmas gift.
Owners of OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 will have to wait for sometime to enjoy the features included in the latest version of Android operating system released by the search giant Google.
