The Coalition has announced that "Gears of War 4" will celebrate the Halloween season with a Pumpkin Ball special event. The Halloween Elite pack was also announced.
According to the official website of the video game, the game developers have revealed that their game will be celebrating the Halloween season, just like what the other games are doing recently. The Pumpkin Ball special event will be another version of the game's Dodgeball multiplayer mode, but it will have themed gear back and pumpkin heads.
Pumpkin Ball is a new Dodgeball version, which lessens the respawn protection and increases the respawn times to just one second. This turns it into a faster paced experience for those who play the Dodgeball mode, where the dead will not stay dead for too long.
In normal Dodgeball mode, a team of five will try to defeat the other team by trying to shoot each other dead. Those who are knocked out can only be revived by killing an opponent and surviving the feat for five more seconds.
The Pumpkin Ball mode can be played on five of the darker maps from "Gears of War 4" like Fallout, Forge, Impact, Lift, and Harbor. Players will be able to earn bonus XP rewards in this mode as part of the game's Halloween season celebration. Pumpkin heads are also featured in this new mode, and it will feature a new design that looks like from the game's Juvie enemy.
The Halloween season event will feature the Halloween Elite Pack, which arrives on Oct. 27 in the game store. This is another version of the Elite Gear Pack, and it has one card in each one. Each of these cards is guaranteed to be Epic or Legendary quality.
The Legendary Cards from this exclusive pack are from the Day of the Dead Legendary Collection. Players are advised to get one soon because it will only be available until Nov. 1.
According to the official forums of "Gears of War 4," the game developers have recently released a Horde Credit and XP Earn Rate update. They have also shifted the total credit earn rates to tie in more with the finishing the waves. This will help players not feel punished for trying on higher difficulties.
