The F1 season is well and truly hotting up with the next race on the F1 calendar due to be in Mexico. In the last race (the US Grand Prix), it was British driver, Lewis Hamilton who came out on top, beating his team-mate Nico Rosberg to get the win, which still gives some hope to Hamilton's world title hopes.
Former McLaren driver Hamilton who is also a two-time defending world champion, this year has arguably struggled to repeat that same kind of success in his Mercedes this year.
German driver Rosberg, who finished second to his team-mate Hamilton for the last two years looks to be currently in pole position (not pun intended) to become the world champion.
Nico Rosberg who after finishing second in the US Grand Prix knows that the "pressure" in the title race will be on him, due to 25 point lead he has in the championship standings.
Another factor which could play into the 32-year old Lewis Hamilton's hands is the fact that he has the experience of being in this position before. The former McLaren driver did, of course, win the world title with them of course, as well as winning the championship two years running with current team Mercedes.
If Hamilton doesn't win the world title this year, no doubt much would be made of the issues he has had with his Mercedes car. There have been several instances this year, where the 32-year old has been heard through the radio being quite critical of his car.
That has also included press conferences as well, where he has been less than complimentary about his car. As good a race driver he is, there's only a certain amount that Lewis Hamilton can do if his car isn't reliable.
It would indeed be a shame if Hamilton's engine failures turn out to be one of the main reasons why he doesn't win a third world title on the crown. The harsh reality of the sport is, there can be only one winner.
At this moment in time, that looks to be Nico Rosberg. One thing is for certain both men have played their part in making this title race a very good spectacle. Let's hope it goes to the wire.
