The latest details and spoilers for "The Flash" season 3 will feature the new Harrison Wells being a villain and Eddie Thawne's return to the show.
Its seems that a beloved character from "The Flash" will return in season 3 as "Quantico" star Rick Cosnette told ComicBook that his character Eddie Thawne will likely return to show. Although, Cosnette did not disclose as to when will Eddie return, he confirmed that he will be part of the new timeline that Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) created after the events of "Flashpoint".
Eddie Thawne was first introduced in "The Flash" season 1 as Joe West's (Jesse L. Martin) partner in the CCPD and also Iris' (Candice Peyton) former boyfriend. Eddie sacrificed his life to save The Flash during his fight with his future descendant Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and erased him from existence. Eddie's death had a huge impact on both Barry and the West family, but the new timeline being created it is possible that Eddie did not die and it is unknown what kind of changes it has made for the character.
In other news, its seems that new theories on Earth 19 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) speculated that he could be a possible villain in the show.
The trailer for next week's episode titled "Monster" will have The Flash fight a huge monster in Central City. On the trailer Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and the new Harrison Wells/HR assist him battle. However, HR seems to not help at all as he has not idea what he is doing in the first place.
This leads to Cisco being suspicious of HR as he goes to his stuff, while the latter questions his purpose in Team Flash, Melty reported. Unlike the past Harrison Wells, HR is a genius, goofy, friendly and likes to crack jokes, but Cisco does not trust him as he might have a hidden agenda like the previous Wells.
YouTube Channel Emergency Awesome stated that HR could be the one who brought the monster in Central City or even working with the alien Dominators as part of a plane to conquer earth leading to the four-night crossover.
Aside from HR's possible villain turn, "Monster" will also see Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) seeking help from her estrange mother Dr. Carla Tannhauser, a biomedical engineer and CEO of a major research company. Caitlin goes to her mother about her growing metahuman powers out of fear of becoming Killer Frost, but when her mother treats her like a test subject, Caitlin became cold hearted and old wounds will soon manifest itself.
