Defending champions FC Barcelona (6-2-1, 19 points) is set to host bottom-dwelling squad Granada CF (0-6-3, 3 points) at their home field of Camp Nou on Oct. 29, Saturday as round 10 competitions of the 2016-2017 La Liga season goes forward.

Barcelona is currently on a two-game winning run to bounce back from their second loss of the season to Celta Vigo in round seven. The team will aim to extend their streak to three games against the overwhelming underdogs, Granada.

The Catalan giants coming off a hard-fought 3-2 win over lowly squad Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium last Saturday, which saw Barcelona players being hit by objects being thrown by fans from the stands, as per Fox Sports.  

Lionel Messi scored a brace for Barça, including the game-winning penalty kick in injury time, to lead head coach Luis Enrique's men in the victory.

Messi also scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute in a long-range strike from the middle of the field.

Valencia struck twice after that, courtesy of ex-Barça forward Munir El Haddadi and Spanish striker Rodrigo in the 52nd and 56th minutes, to grab the lead over the visitors.

However, Luis Suárez was able to find the equalizer in the 62nd with a rebound play before setting up Messi for the final goal of the match when he was fouled in the penalty area.

Messi made the kick to win the game, but Valencia fans reacted to the players' celebrations by throwing objects onto their huddle, hitting Neymar and Suárez. Sanctions were reportedly placed on both sides after the match as the Barça stars said to have provoked the fans' reactions.

Meanwhile, Granada settled to a 0-0 draw with Sporting Gijon last Saturday at the Los Cármenes Stadium to snap a four-game losing streak by head coach Lucas Alcaraz's side, ESPN reported.
