Just when everybody thought that peace is back in the kingdom of Britannia, a new threat surfaces right inside the walls and it is none other than Seven Deadly Sins' Gowther, who seems to have returned to his former self, Ten Commandment's Selflessness.
In the previous chapter of "Nanatsu no Taizai," Howzer was named as the acting captain of the Holy Knights, which he immediately accepted. The slot is reserved for Gilthunder, who is currently missing. He was last seen being teleported somewhere by Britannia's second most powerful mage and Merlin's former student, Vivian. It is currently unknown what they are up to or what Vivian did to Zaratras' son.
Scene shifts to the prison where Gowther was imprisoned at and the moment his cell was opened, he slayed the guards who were supposed to escort him. He utter his named to be Gowther of Selflessness. Meanwhile, Meliodas told his team that it is about time they gather all their members to end the Ten Commandments once and for all. Chapter ends with King back in Fairy Land who looked surprised to see Diane.
Fans over at Manga Sail believe that King and Diane will finally end their never ending struggle of remembering memories of each other. This will finally lead to a romantic relationship between the two which will boost their magic powers just in time for the final battle against the Commandments. Also, one of the most discussed topics at the moment is Merlin's origins. In the previous chapters, Fraudrin and Grayroad trembled upon hearing Belialin's name.
Some suggest that Merlin came from a clan yet to be introduced, as it was stated that she is the only survivor of that clan. This implies that they proved to be a threat to the Demon clan, which is why they eradicated the entire lineage. This may also be Merlin's reason why she co-founded the Seven Deadly Sins with Meliodas, and that is to exact revenge.
