Taylor Swift really makes everything come true as she recently granted a four-year-old cancer patient's wish of meeting her idol but did it via FaceTiming with the little girl for twenty minutes.
The little girl was identified as Jalene Salinas from San Antonio and has been battling with an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer for the past months. According to E! News, the family of Salinas has been busy ticking off the listed items off of her bucket list and seeing Swift was one of her wishes and dancing with the singer to the hit single entitled "Shake It Off".
In a YouTube video, it called on people to make Salinas' wish come true and so with the help of Swifties from all over the world, hashtag #ShakeItOffJalene started to trend over Twitter since the weekend. And on Monday at around six in the evening, the Salinas family got a surprise call to make the wish of the little girl come true.
The 25-year-old crooner and Grammy award winner was on the other line and was videocalling via FaceTime. And this is what she said, "I'm so sorry you're having a bad night, I'm so happy to talk to you though and I'm so happy you like 'Shake it Off'. You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You're just as pretty as your pictures."
However, Salinas was not able to talk a lot during the conversation because she was in so much pain. Salinas' mother, Jennifer, said that they can now check everything off in Salinas' list and it means the world to her as a mother that she got to see her idol.
Swift said to Jennifer that she and the crew are actually crying in the car during the conversation because they were given such an opportunity and they are very grateful about it. Doctors advised the family of the four-year-old that she might not have a lot of time anymore thus the encouragement of letting Salinas do the things she wants to do while she is still alive.
According to Huffington Post, Salinas' other things listed in her bucket list include seeing sand, watching Disney on Ice, making a snowman, experience school, and many more.
