After announcing Meizu 3 and its variants, the Chinese company has skipped Meizu M4 moniker and announced Meizu M5. The specifications, pricing of the Meizu have released.
Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch HD display that is blessed with a 2.5D curved glass. It is driven by MediaTek MT6750 chipset that 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. It is the same SoC that is also present under the hood of Meizu M3s.
The Meizu M5 comes in two variants. The 2 GB RAM model will feature 16 GB of storage. The 3 GB RAM variant will have 32 GB native storage. Each of these variants feature microSD storage support through the hybrid SIM slot.
A 13-megapixel camera enabled with dual LED flash is present on the rear side of the Meizu M5. The front-facing camera of the handset is of 5-megapixel. The rear side of the Meizu M5 also houses a fingerprint reader. It comes loaded with Yun OS that is customized with Flyme 5.5 UI.
The Meizu M5 has a 3,070 mAh capacity battery. It measures 147.3 x 72.8 x 8.2 mm and weighs 138 grams. It comes in multiple color choices such as green, white, gold, blue and black.
The Meizu M5 features a polycarbonate body. Its base model is priced at CNY 700 ($103) and the other storage variant costs CNY 900 ($132). In China, it will be available for purchase in November, but there is no confirmation on when it will available outside of China, Slash Gear reported.
The Meizu M3s that was announced in June has similar specs like Meizu M5. It features a smaller 5-inch HD display and is powered by the same chipset, GSM Arena reported. It also comes in same RAM and storage versions. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel frontal shooter. It includes a 3,020 mAh battery.
