Hilary Duff reveals in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan why she finally filed a divorce against her former husband and hockey player Mike Comrie.
Duff admitted that she and Comrie were very in love when they met and that they both wanted to get married and start a family, E! News has learned. However, she feels that being married at a very young age seemed right that time but she now realizes that it might not be right after all.
"But we spent the majority of our time together really happy. It wasn't working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved," Duff said adding that she is lucky for the person that Comrie turned out to be and how they decided to handle their marital woes. Comrie and Duff have a two-year-old son.
Also, Duff shared what she thinks about love after going through a divorce and she made it clear she does not want to sound bitter but she thinks people are not meant to be together forever. She noted that things happen over a long relationship and maybe being married for 20 years is a milestone but there are so many huge sacrifices both counterparts have to make in order to reach that.
Moreover, Duff talked about her crush in the Hollywood scene and she mentioned Charlie Hunnam. However, Hunnam is in a long-term relationship with Morgana McNelis ever since 2007. She also gave a shoutout to her ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter who has been taking it to his Twitter account to reach out to her. She noted that it's ridiculous and that him reaching out should be via a text message.
The star is not into finding love though because she is busy promoting her TV Land series entitled "Younger" as per report of The Gurdon Times. The show will premiere on March 31, 2015. Duff is also working on her new album.
