"This Is Us" episode 6 will be focusing on Kate's new job after her twin brother Kevin fired her as his personal assistant.
In the promo, it showed that Kate will start her new job as an assistant. However, things were not easy as the daughter commented to her mom that she chose "the fat one". Kate's struggle has always been her weight since childhood. In the last episode, Kate tried to stalk Toby's ex-wife because of her insecurity and ended up applying as the help in her store. However, at the end of the episode when Toby explained how his ex-wife was to him, Kate said that she will not take the job.
Meanwhile, in the second episode, it is hinted that Kate has a great talent in singing that is dampened by her low self-esteem. When she belted out "Time After Time," we already knew that it will be her goal to be a singer. Inspired by her mom Rebecca, who sings in bars like Froggy's, Kate dreamed to perform in front of a crowd, but is too shy because of her size. It is unknown how she will overcome her insecurities and will become a singer, but living in Los Angeles striving to be a performer is an elaborate plot in the making.
"This Is Us" is created and directed by Dan Fogelman. The pilot received rave reviews from critics and viewers and the series was picked up for a whole season just hours after its pilot. The show stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown.
"This Is Us" will make you bawl your eyes out every Tuesday, 9/8c.
