After a lackluster start to the season where they lost five of their first six games, West Ham has somehow surged in the past four rounds with a three-game unbeaten run before losing again to Everton, 0-2, at the Goodison Park last Sunday, as per The Guardian.

West Ham, which is coming off a 2-1 win over Chelsea in the fourth round of the EFL Cup, failed to answer back with any goals throughout the match even as Pedro Obiang and Manuel Lanzini came close in finding the target.
With the loss, West Ham stayed at the 17th spot in the overall standings, precariously three points above the bottom three relegation area.
Meanwhile, Stoke City is on a roll being undefeated in their last five matches, including an ongoing three-game winning streak.
Their last match ended in a 3-1 victory over bottom three squad Swansea City at their home field of Bet365 Stadium on Monday, Goal reported.
Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony had a brace to lead head coach Mark Hughes' side as he opened the scoring in the third minute and sealed the win in the 73rd. An own goal from Swansea's Alfie Mawson completed the team's three-goal haul
The Swans net the early equalizer in the eighth minute, courtesy of midfielder Wayne Routledge, before the Potters scored the next two goals.
Stoke City is currently in the 12th spot of the league table.
