George RR Martin is rumored to release his latest book, "Winds of Winter," next year.
According to IBTimes, fans of the author's "Fire and Ice" series have been clamoring for more of Martin's work. After all, it has already been five years since Martin released the book, "A Dance With Dragons." There are also some rumors claiming that the sixth book in the series is already being proofread.
Meanwhile, the release of "Winds of Winter" has been delayed again and again. Previously, Martin said that he still had a couple of pages he needed to write. However, there are also some speculations saying that the release of the book was pushed back intentionally so it can be paired with the seventh book in the series, "A Dream of Spring."
Martin, who has previously apologized for the delay, has been mum about the details of his two upcoming books. However, Amazon France recently announced that they will have a copy of Martin's book on March 9 of next year. The site immediately took down the announcement when fans started inquiring about the accuracy of the date, according to the Independent.
In other news, the publishers of "Winds of Winter" denied that an official release date for the book has already been set. A representative for Random House publishing told Entertainment Weekly, "As his publisher, we support George RR Martin as he works hard to finish 'The Winds of Winter.' Any on-sale dates currently listed online for the novel are incorrect. Once we have a publication date for 'Winds of Winter,' the world will know."
Martin's UK publisher Harper Collins seconded the previous publishing company's statement. "Nothing has been finalized regarding the publication or the date."
"Winds of Winter" will be released in 2017.
