"A Wrinkle In Time" just cast "Girl Meets World" star Rowan Blanchard.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Blanchard will be joining the likes of Zach Galifianakis, Levi Miller, Bellamy Young and more in the film. "A Wrinkle In Time" by Ava DuVernay is an adaptation of the original novel by Madeleine L'Engle.
The film will chronicle the lives of siblings Meg Murray (Storm Reid) and her brother (Deric McCabe), who will be traveling through space and time in search of their missing father. Other cast members include Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Mindy Kaling.
Meanwhile, DuVerny released a statement via the publication where she said, "Since day one, this experience has shimmered with the promise and possibility, the passion and power that only great stories offer. And Madeline L'Engle's book is a great story indeed. A cool, quirky tale of an imperfect girl on an otherworldly expedition that has been praised and banned, dissected and celebrated the world for more than 50 years," she said.
In other news, the cast of "A Wrinkle In Time" already started filming on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The film is slated for release in theaters in the United States sometime in 2018.
