According to NBC's Late Night show host Seth Meyers, presidential candidate Donald Trump has "underestimated the incredible amount of public scrutiny he'd get" during his race for President's seat.
"A Closer Look" is a popular segment of the late night show and Meyers took the responsibility of excavating the past of real estate kingpin Trump. Meyers said that Trump was a ruthless businessman from New York City who is presently known to the voters, not for his identity behind the closed doors, for the role he played in tabloids and TV shows.
Meyers suspected that, although being a wealthy businessman of New York, Trump failed to build the impression of a smart guy in public, USA Today mentioned in their post. Rather his image of a "genius billionaire" has seriously been damaged during this presidential campaign.
Meyers also reminded viewers of a recent incident where Trump's campaign advisors talk to him the way someone talks to a child that is difficult to control. The recent Washington Post exposé by journalist David A. Fahrenthold who is always busy in digging Trump's so-called "philanthropic past" also revealed the same. He revealed that Trump showed up to an AIDS charity event organized at a new nursery school pretending to be a donor for some clicks and left the spot immediately without donating.
In the show, Meyers did not forget to make a flashback of Trump's six bankruptcies along with his tendency to avoid reporting of hundreds of millions of dollars in earnings. In 1995, Trump faced a loss of nearly $1 billion dollars. Meyers highlighted the New York Times report about Trump taking advantage of an illegal tax maneuver. Trump also made several headlines in tabloid pages because of his lewd sexual comments.
A short video clip of Late Night TV show circulated on the internet. This YouTube video clip is enough to bring out the "real" Trump to people.
