JYP is rumored to debut a new girl in 2017, which is two years after phenomenal girl group TWICE.
Since the debut of TWICE, many JYP fans are wondering what will happen to the eliminated girls in reality show Sixteen -Somi, Chae Sisters, Natty, and Eunsuh.
Rumors are rife that they will be debuting with new female trainees under the label dubbed as 6Mix. One of the new trainees is Lily M., whose fame rose from her stint in KPOP Star 4.
The 14-year-old Australian-born singer may play a major role in the new girl group as she could be the main vocal of the group. Other girls rumored to join the new girl group are Mashiro, Park Yejin, and Oh Hanseol. Thus, the new female group may have nine members like TWICE.
The new JYP girls will reportedly be selected via new reality survival program like Sixteen.
In May 2015, Lily M. announced that she signed under JYP Entertainment. Based from her performances in KPOP Star 4, it shows that Lily M. has a stable voice, but lacks technique as she had difficulty hitting high notes. Thus, she used to sing songs in her own rendition, which is a key lower. However, this might have changed after a year of training under the label.
While some may think that debuting after a year of training is too fast for an idol since some trainees spend years before their debut. There are also some idols that are lucky enough to debut faster than other. Wonder Girls' Ye Eun only spent three months preparing for her debut with the group.
