Samsung is expected to begin Android 7.0 Nougat beta roll out for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones in the U.S., the U.K, South Korea and China starting from November 9. The update will be made available Galaxy Beta Program app.
In the previous week, Samsung had started rolling out Galaxy Beta Program app for releasing Android 7.0 Nougat beta for the Galaxy S7 Edge users in the United Kingdom. However, the Nougat beta app was taken offline for some time.
According to a Samsung site, the beta program app will be available from Nov. 9 for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The Nougat update that will start from Nov. 9 will be available for download till mid of next month,
The beta program will allow the users to share their experience and also give feedback on using the beta version of Nougat. It helps both the users as well as Samsung to know about their service and customer satisfaction.
How to Get Android 7.0 Nougat Beta?
The users who want to go for beta testing will have to download the Galaxy Beta Program app on Nov. 9. One should be aware of the fact that only few registered users that are selected by Samsung will be able to join in the beta testing.
The Play Store will allow the users to login into the Galaxy Beta Program app from Galaxy Apps and then fill and submit an application form the Registration menu. After Samsung approves the application, the Nougat beta update will be available from Nov. 9.
Who Can Receive the Update?
The beta testing app will support Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models from T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint in the U.S., SamMobile reported. All the unlocked variants of S7 and S7 Edge in the U.K. can receive Nougat beta.
In South Korea, KT, SKTelecom or LG U+ models of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge can install Nougat beta from Nov. 9. As of this writing, support variants of S7 and S7 Edge for Chinese markets have not been revealed.
Android 7.1 Nougat Update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users will get the new Grace UX along with Android 7.0 Nougat. After mid December, Samsung may release Android 7.1 Nougat for these devices, Phone Arena reported. Hence, these devices are likely to get Android 7.1 Nougat by December end or early 2017.
