Brock Lesnar and Shane McMahon are getting ready for their respective matches for WWW Survivor Series 2016 but the bigger news is with regards to Wrestlemania 33. According to reports, the two are on a collision course to face each other in April, something that may be tied to that SummerSlam confrontation back in August.
Brock Lesnar is set to face a returning Bill Goldberg while Shane-O-Mac has been named the fifth member of team SmackDown following the pullout of Baron Corbin, WWE.com reported. As far as the Lesnar vs. Goldberg match, it is a revenge-match for the former who lost to the actor/wrestler at Wrestlemania 20.
The Goldberg deal is reportedly a one-and-done deal though most believe the former WCW/WWE champion could fight on. In fact, some believe that they could eventually have a rubber match which may take place at Wrestlemania 33.
A recent update though has doused any hope of seeing another Lesnar vs. Goldberg match. Shane McMahon will try to settle the score with the “Beast Incarnate” in what is seen as another one-sided affair, the Wrestling Observer reported.
With the revelation, it looks like the upcoming Survivor Series showdown is indeed a one-and-done deal as far as Goldberg is concerned. But then again, it depends on how one defines that, referring to the possibility of seeing the 49-year-old staying on and facing other stars on the WWE roster.
Expect a lot of storylines to be updated and created on Nov. 20 when Survivor Series kicks off from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Lesnar is an obvious favorite though it may be wise to keep an eye out on the things happening outside the ring and after the match.
For Shane-O-Mac, the five-man team battle should be interesting as well. The match pits the best stars from both shows, though most have brewing grudges with their teammates. Through the commotion, what are the chances Lesnar comes out and target Shane McMahon?
