Powerhouse squad Spain (2-0-1, 7 points) will look to extend its undefeated streak to four games as they face lowly team Macedonia (0-3-0, 0 points) at the Estadio Los Cármenes in Granada on Saturday, Nov. 12 as the UEFA 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament continues.
Start Time and Streaming Info
The game starts at 8:45 p.m. UTC+1. It can be viewed live online thru FuboTV.
Spain destroyed Liechtenstein, 8-0, to open the tournament in September before drawing with group rivals Italy, 1-1, in their second game last month.
The team then blanked Albania, 2-0, in their third game on Oct. 9 at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër to keep themselves on top of the Group G standings, ESPN reported. They are currently tied on points with Italy, but the squad's higher goal difference put them on first place while the Italians settle for second.
Chelsea striker Diego Costa, who is presently sidelined with an injury, netted the opening goal against Albania in the 55th minute as he directed David Silva's brilliant assist to an empty net.
Silva's Manchester City teammate, forward Nolito, then doubled the lead in the 63rd to ensure another dominating performance for La Furia Roja.
Albania actually dominated all possession from the kickoff, which caught head coach Julen Lopetegui's side by surprise. But they eventually flexed their muscles to claim the win.
Meanwhile, Macedonia is still winless after three tries in the tourney, succumbing to Albania and Israel in their first two games.
They are coming off a sorry 2-3 loss to Italy in the previous round in a match held at the Philip II Arena in Skopje also on Oct. 9, as per Daily Mail Online.
Macedonia had a 2-1 lead in the second half, courtesy of goals from Ilija Nestorovski and Ferhan Hasani in the 57th and 59th minutes, but conceded the defeat after Italian striker Ciro Immobile netted a brace in the 75th minute and stoppage time.
