If reports are anything to go by, OnePlus 3T smartphone will compete with Google Pixel and iPhone 7.
OnePlus is going to release a new smartphone OnePlus 3T that will be powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC processor, Forbes reported. Rumors are doing the rounds that the device will be launched around next week in America.
According to the chipmaker Qualcomm, OnePlus 3T smartphone will be equipped with a 16-megapixel back camera with LED flash, an 8-megapixel front camera and 6 GB of RAM.
The OnePlus device will run based on Oxygen operating system using Android Nougat and a USB Type-C, 4G voice over Long-Term Evolution, 3000mAh battery and fingerprint sensor.
Several reports indicate that the OnePlus 3T smartphone will carry a price tag of $479. The device will ship with the newest version of Google's Android operating system.
It means it will be compatible with Daydream virtual reality platform and people will be able to place it in the Daydream View virtual reality headset.
Speculations are doing the rounds that the OnePlus 3T smartphone will keep the OLED screen and the aluminium body that the usual OnePlus has.
Furthermore, color variation will come in black color option for the device. Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder, said that the OnePlus 3T will have the company's Optic AMOLED displays.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is having a delay in pushing out the latest Android Nougat updates. The Android updates are much-anticipated by all smartphone owners.
The company was fast in releasing the Android N beta testing version in August 2016. Many benchmark websites have started sharing details of beta testing on the maker's devices.
According to Geekbench, OnePlus 1 scored 2521 in Multi-core and 976 in Single-core after testing with Android 7.0 Nougat. OnePlus 2 received a score of 2694 in Multi-core and 1168 in the Single-core when enhanced with Android 7.0 N.
The device scored 2922 for Multi-core and 715 in Single-core when tested with Android 7.1 Nougat. On the other hand, OnePlus 3 smartphone scored 4007 in Multi-core and 1747 in Single-core when tested with Android 7.1 N. According to a Tech Crunch report, the Android updates will roll out in December this year.
