Johnny Depp was featured on "David Blaine Beyond Magic," which aired on Nov. 15, Wednesday, on ABC. The "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" actor was one of the celebrities shocked by the illusionists on the TV special.
"It's been three years in the making to be honest," Blaine told People before "David Blaine Beyond Magic" aired. "The first part was learning how to do all sorts of new things that I've never done before, (including) things that were historical pieces of magic (and) things that were legendary stories in magic where the actual performers took their secrets to the grave."
What Blaine looks for are amazing and truthful responses from people of all walks of life. He said that for the first time, the TV special would show the progress of learning his magic tricks, the behind the scenes and how he worked on the magic effect as he went out into the real world and used the new pieces of magic.
"That was amazing," Depp says on "David Blaine Beyond Magic." He was not the only celebrity featured on the TV special.
The other actors shocked by Blaine on the TV special were John Travolta, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emma Stone, Margot Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence. Other celebrities featured on the show were Rihanna's "Work" collaborator Drake, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, former Manchester United footballer David Beckham and comedian Dave Chappelle, among others.
On the big screen, Depp is set to play Gellert Grindelwald in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," which will be released worldwide on Nov. 18. It will be available in large format theaters including 3D and IMAX 4K Laser.

Rowling, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" also stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Gemma Chan as Madame Ya Zou, Ezra Miller as Credence, Collin Farrell as Percival Graves, Zoe Kravitz as Lestrange, Katherine Waterson as Porpentina Goldstein and Jon Voight as Henry Shaw Sr.
