In a recent interview with TV Guide, Kristen Gutoskie, who plays Seline, talked about her character.
She teased that this week Seline will showcase "her evil side a little bit more." She is "playing two sides of the coin" as she stands by Alaric after Tyler's death. The actress said that she is a nanny but is also interested in the twins in a rather twisted form. Seline will surprise the characters by playing the two sides.
Gutoskie also revealed that Seline takes interest in the twins as they remind of her of Sybil and her. Seline is able to relate to the twins as they are "young, supernatural and incredibly powerful girls."
"But the difference is, they have parents who are caring for them, whereas Sybil and Seline were outcast when they were teenagers. I think she has a protective side for them. She doesn't want them necessarily to be outcasts in the same way, but I think she also has a desire to teach them some things from the lessons she's learned," the actress said.
