Deportivo La Coruna has been struggling as of late with only one win in their past six matches, dropping the team to the 16th spot of the Spanish top flight table. They have drawn two straight games heading into this match against Sevilla.

Head coach Gaizka Garitano's side is coming off a 1-1 draw with cellar-dwellers Granada in a game held at the Los Cármenes Stadium on Nov. 5 before the international break, as per ESPN.

After a goalless first half of action, Deportivo striker Florin Andone broke the deadlock in the 64th minute with a left-footed shot off a fast break play.

The Blue and Whites were not able to hold on to the lead, though, as Granada scored an equalizer in the 81st courtesy of a close-range shot from defender David Lomban.

Meanwhile, Sevilla lost a sorry 1-2 game to fellow contenders Barcelona at their home ground of Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Nov. 6, SkySports reported.

The Sevillistas scored the opening goal of the game in the 15th minute with a strike from Spanish winger Vitolo who evaded the defense of Barcelona's Sergi Roberto to beat keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

However, head coach Jorge Sampaoli's squad conceded the next two goals, in the 43rd and 61st minutes scored by Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez respectively, to eventually fall to the Catalonia giants.

The defeat snapped Los Rojiblancos' four-game unbeaten streak as the team remained in the fifth spot in the overall standings.

Sevilla is a huge favorite to win over Deportivo La Coruna in this contest.
