Fans of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" are in for a treat. In order to show appreciation for the huge amount of love and support the drama has received, SBS has decided to air the director's cut of the show's first two episodes.

The exciting news came to light when a source from the SBS drama spilled the beans to local newsoutlet DongA, as cited by Drama Beans, on Nov. 18, Friday. The director's cut will reportedly cover the main events from each episode.

The deleted scenes from the original airing will be added, and the commercials will also be removed to make the story easier to approach. The director's cut of the show's first two episodes will air on Nov. 20, Sunday.

It comes after the Wednesday-Thursday drama has come under fire for blatantly copying certain elements from the British television series, "Sherlock," All Kpop reported. The scene in question showed Heo Joon-Jae (Lee Min-Ho) interpreting a man's intention of thoroughly examining the body movements. As he inspects each body part, a small overlay text shows up on the screen that explained his findings.

It is important to note that this is not the first time "The Legend of the Blue Sea" screenwriter Park Ji-Eun has been accused of plagiarizing content from foreign material. She also penned the hit drama "You Who Came from the Stars," which fans claimed some scenes was copied frame by frame from the 2008 TV series "New Amsterdam."

Meanwhile, "The Legend of the Blue Sea" kicked off its run on Nov. 16, Wednesday, with an impressive viewership rating of 16.4 percent. Its constant increase in viewership ratings is ascribed to its A-list cast members, solid story content, unique theme, and the director's hit previous drama that includes 2013's "Master's Sun" and 2011's "City Hunter."

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" also marks Jun and Lee's small-screen comeback since starring in "My Love from the Star" and "The Heirs," respectively. Check out the first episode here:
