The quest to bring home the "Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 Mirrorball award just became difficult for contenders Gleb Savchenko and Jana Kramer. The dancing couple may not be able to give their best performance during the ABC show's finale round due to flu.
Savchenko is sick with the flu and was advised to rest. A source told People that the pro dancer has had to reschedule some of his and Kramer's rehearsals during the weekend of Nov. 19 to follow doctor's orders.
With the impending season finale of the ABC celebrity dancing competition, Savchenko and Kramer will need to squeeze in some last minute rehearsal sessions prior the "Dancing with the Stars" semi-finals scheduled on Nov. 21, Monday. If chosen as one of the finalists for Season 23, they are expected to learn a new dance in just 24 hours for the show's grand finals.
Recently, Kramer took to Instagram to share several pictures of the pro-dancer and herself during rehearsals. Savchenko wore a face mask in the first photo, while the second image showed the "One Tree Hill" actress also wearing a mask.
It appears that Kramer may also be suffering from the flu, as indicated in her Instagram post. To combat the illness and prepare for their "Dancing with the Stars" final week performances, the actress has been taking a lot of Vitamin C to boost her immunity, according to the Hollywood star.
Many fans have also been hoping that Savchenko will regain his strength given the doctor-prescribed weekend rest. Despite the illness, it appears that the pro-dancer is adamant in perfecting his and Kramer's performances in the upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 finale week.
A representative from the ABC show told Entertainment Tonight that Savchenko and Kramer resumed their dance rehearsals on Nov. 20, Sunday. The dancing couple was seen practicing inside a Los Angeles studio ahead of the competition's upcoming semi-finals.
"Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 semi-finals will be aired on Nov. 21, Monday, while the grand finals night will be held at The Grove on Nov. 22, Tuesday on ABC. Watch one of Savchenko and Kramer's dance performances in the clip below:
