Niantic recently released a "Pokemon Go" update that changed the combat powers (CP) of various Pokemon creatures. The gaming company only cited three creatures in its announcement, however, data miners leaked a list that revealed the new CP stats of many Pokemon monsters.
"Pokemon Go" received a new system update where Niantic adjusted the power and damage stats of various Pokemon creatures. In an announcement posted on the game's official website, the gaming explained that the changes will provide gamers with a "more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms."
Future CP enhancements to "Pokemon Go" characters will continue to be deployed to improve the mobile gaming app's gameplay experience, according to Niantic. Given the recent changes, some Pokemon creatures received lower or higher CP levels such as Rhydon, Alakazam and Gengar whose CPs were increased.
Apart from the three Pokemon monsters, Niantic did not include other game characters that received CP stat adjustments. However, the fan community The Silph Road released a list on its Reddit thread that revealed the old and new CP levels of various "Pokemon Go" creatures.
It appears that Niantic increased the CP stats of Pokemon monsters such as Aerodactyl, Chansey, Dodrio, Fearow, Beedrill, Hitmochan, Sandslash, Mr. Mime, Raticate, Magneton, Pinsir, Snorlax and Vaporeon. The bull-like Tauros also received a CP boost, as well as Dugtrio, Electrabuzz, Jynx, Rapidash, Tangela, Kabutops, Cloyster and more.
Meanwhile, the latest "Pokemon Go" update decreased the CP levels of the creatures Arbox, Dewgong, Blastoise, Pidgeot, Wigglytuff, Ninetails and Magmar. The Poison and Grass-type Pokemon named Victreebell also had its CP level lowered, including Raichu, Porygon, Persian, Hypno, Arcanine, Farfetch'd, Poliwrath, Golduck and others.
Lapras is the only Pokemon creature whose CP remain unchanged after Niantic's latest "Pokemon Go" update. It appears that avid gamers have requested Niantic to retain the said Pokemon's CP levels, as indicated in the same report.
